Ephesians 2:8-10 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest
any man should boast. For we are HIS workmanship, created IN Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained
that we should walk in them."
Titus 3:5-6 "NOT by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of
regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour."
Salvation is all a work of God, not a work of man. We cannot do anything to gain or earn salvation. If you could continue keeping
commandments in order to get saved, then salvation would not be of God alone, it would be of man. This would give men
something to boast about. They could get to heaven and say, "I made it, because I continued, and I kept the commands, and I
repented and I I I. There is NO work of God in that kind of belief. If any man gets to heaven it will not be by anything that man
could possibly do.
Romans 3:27 "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith."
God alone gets the glory, because God alone saves a man!
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is NOT justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have
believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the
law shall NO flesh be justified.
Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
If you have to continue to keep the commandments in order to be saved, then Jesus Christ died in vain. His death on the cross
would be worthless if you could be saved by works.
Galatians 5:4 "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace."
In Romans 11:6 Paul said, And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace."
Salvation is a FREE GIFT!
Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Jesus is saying that if you are working to be righteous, come to Him and He will give you rest. He will save you and you will
naturally do good and reject evil, because it is now Christ who lives in you.
In Acts 16:30 a prison keeper came to Paul and Silas and asked, What must I do to be saved? In verse 31 Paul and Silas
answered him saying, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Notice that they did not tell him that he must
obey the law of God before he could be saved. Notice how they did not tell him to ask Jesus into his heart or tell him to ask
Jesus to forgive his sin. They simply told him to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and he would be saved.
In John 19:30, Jesus was on the cross, and right before He died, He said, It is finished. What is finished? Sin has been paid for!
He did not say, It is finished, now is all people must do is struggle their entire life to keep all my commandments and they will be
saved. Salvation is a free gift of Gods grace to all those who believe on the finished work of Jesus Christ. He paid it all and does
not tell you to do anything to receive it or to even ask for it, He simply tells you to believe.
Jesus said in John 6:47, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."
Do not put trust in works for your salvation. Salvation is in Christ alone. Not of works, not of your own ability; it is all a work of God.
If you want to be saved, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ by faith alone and you shall be saved!
