Are you saved by grace?
Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any
man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that
we should walk in them.”

So, now we have those that say salvation is a free gift of grace. What is wrong with that? After all, it is what the scripture teaches,
right? Yes, but the problem is, people seem to take this to the extreme. They think that because God is love and gives us grace
that they can just live in sin and God will have mercy on them. You try to teach them the commandments of God and they say,
“But I’m not under the law, I’m under grace.” Being under grace does not mean you do not abide in the law. Do you really think
grace is an excuse to live in sin?

Romans 6:15-16 “What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to
whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto
righteousness?”

Yes, salvation is a free gift of grace, but again, how do you know if you have received it? Let’s say you saw a sign that said, “Free
Car Wash”. You take the offer, but after your car comes out, it is just as dirty as when it went in. Can you really say that you
received a free car wash? No, you can not. So, how can you say you have received that free gift of grace if your life is just as sinful
as it was before you thought you got saved?

Being saved by grace means doing the works of the law is not required for salvation. Jesus fulfilled the entire law and was put to
death as a sacrifice so that you could be free from the law and made righteous through Him. You do not have to follow the law to
be made right with God. Put your faith in Jesus and you will be made righteous in Him.
