Homosexuality

What does the Bible say about homosexuality? The word, homosexual, did not exist in the original Hebrew and Greek. They
translated the word from the word, sodomy, which was defined as a man who prostituted himself out to other men or a man who
had sex with other men. Sodomy is a sin.
Leviticus 18:22 “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
This verse makes it clear that a man is not to be sexual with another man. Some want to argue that they were born with sexual
feelings for men, so they do not see why it is wrong. Well, Paul said in Ephesians 2:3 that we are all sinful by nature. We are all
born with sinful desires, whether they are sexual desires or other sinful desires. The fact is, we are all born with evil desires.
This is why Jesus said in John 3:3 that we must be born again. When you are born again, you will no longer have those desires.
Do not be deceived by those who say the Old Testament laws to not apply to us today, because that is not true. And even if it
was, the New Testament still stands.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous,
nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
The word, effeminate, is translated from the Greek word, malakos, which can be defined as a man who submits his body to
unnatural lewdness or has homosexual relations with another man. Again, this makes it clear that a man is not to be sexual
with another man.
So, homosexuality cannot be considered sin, but sodomy can. Why? Because homosexuality would include sex between two
women. The laws in Leviticus condemn sexual relations between two men, but not between two women. People will try to use
Romans 1:26 to say women with women is sin, but it does not say any such thing. In the Greek, it is more accurate to say that
these women were committing porneia, or sexual acts condemned by God in Leviticus. The men, however, were committing
sodomy, and Paul explains this, because he clearly says the men were working with men that which is unseemly, or just
straight up gross. He does not describe the women’s sin as being women with women, because that was just not the case.

Deuteronomy 19:15 “One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the
mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.”
A person cannot say sex between two women is sin based off one scripture that they take out of context. They have to have two
or three scriptures. Jesus said in Matthew 18:16 “But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the
mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.” Sex between two women cannot be established with one
scripture that is not even in context. Those who want to say women being sexual with other women is sinful do not have any
scripture to stand on. They only have the interpretations of men and they stand on them, because they follow after philosophy
and tradition and not after Christ.
