Do you really love Jesus?
Anymore, I find it hard to believe people who say they love Jesus, because most people will say that and yet live in sin like it did
not matter. They might as well say, “Thank you Jesus for dying for me, but I’m going to go out and party, get drunk, cuss and tell
perverted jokes with my friends, and have sex, even though I‘m not married.” If you live like this, do you really believe that you love
Jesus? Proverbs 28:4 says that if you forsake the law you praise the wicked. So who are you trying to please? You are not
showing Jesus any love by living in sin; you mock Him and disrespect Him by living this way.
In John 14:21 Jesus said, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:”
If you really love Jesus you will follow His commands. If you continue to live in sin, you do not love Jesus, because you have
never been born again and given a new heart that can love Him. You are still carnal and in the flesh until you are born again.
Romans 8:7 “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”
James said in James 4:4, “Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend
of the world is the enemy of God.”
The word "enmity" used in these scriptures means to have a strong hatred towards. So if you are carnal minded, meaning you
think about worldly, lustful things, or if you want to have friendship with this world and do worldly things, you have a strong hatred
towards God. That's what the scripture says. If you have not been born again, you will naturally hate God, because you were born
that way. That's why Jesus said in John 3:3 that you must be born again. When you are born again you are given a new heart
and a new spirit that loves God and loves righteousness. You will hate sin and hate all that is not of God, because you become
a new creature in Christ. If you want to know more about being born again
