Using prophecy is a great way to open a conversation in your witnessing.
Example: Your friend says, "Hey, did you see the news earlier? Sounds like war is
about to break out all over the place." You reply, "Yeah, that's what Jesus said would
happen shortly before His return." They ask, "You think He is coming soon?" You
answer, "Yes, that's why it is important that people examine themselves to make sure
they are born again when He does return. He said He would come like a thief in the
night, meaning He will return when least expected."
After getting the person's attention, you can now witness to them. While talking about
the importance of being ready for the return of Jesus, you can preach the law of God to
convict them of sin. After they realize they are in need of forgiveness, you can preach
the gospel to lead them to repentance. You can make a difference! Be a witness!
