You can use statistics to draw peoples' attention. If you are talking to a person that
claims to be a Christian, tell them that only 1 out of every 40 people who profess to be
a Christian are born again. That means less than 3% of professing Christians are
even saved. This could cause the person to examine themselves to see if they are in
the faith. Using statistics about immorality could convict a person who may be living in
sin. Tell them what the statistic is, and then explain to them what the Bible teaches.
Example: "Hey, did you know that 57% of teenagers who profess to be Christian are
living in a sexual relationship outside of marriage? The Bible says......"
Use different statistics about various acts of immorality. Without actually pointing out
the person's sin, you have given them the conviction by telling them the statistic, and
you have given them the word of God that will lead them to repentance.
