What if you died tonight?
If you died tonight, do you know for sure that you would go to heaven?

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be
deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,  nor thieves, nor
covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."

Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions,
heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told
you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."

You might say, "Everyone is guilty of at least one of those things."

The truth is, we are all guilty of all those things.

James 2:10 "For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all."

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

You might say, "Well, God will forgive me for my sins, right? God cannot forgive sin.
Romans 6:23 says the
wages of sin is death. God cannot go against His own law. There must be payment for your sin.

The Good News is that
Matthew 18:11 says that Jesus came to save the lost. God sent Jesus to make the
payment for our sin so that we could go to heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him.”

1 John 2:2 “And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”

When we should have died and suffered in hell, God made us a way to become righteous through the sacrifice
of Jesus. Jesus became our sin and God killed Him with all the fierce anger and wrath that should have been
poured out on us.

Isaiah 53:10 “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul
an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall
prosper in his hand.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.

How do you receive salvation?

Humble yourself before the Lord.

In
Isaiah 66:2 the Lord said, “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who
trembles at My word.”

The bible does not tell you to ask Jesus into your heart to be saved, it tells you to repent.

In
Mark 1:15 Jesus said, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the
gospel."

Acts 3:19 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing
may come from the presence of the Lord.”

The bible does not tell you to ask for forgiveness of your sins, it tells you to confess your sins.

1 John 1:9 “But if we confess our sins, He will forgive our sins because we can trust God to do what is right.
He will cleanse us from all the wrong we have done.”

Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation.”

But even then, how do you know that you truly believed? How do you know if you have been born again.

Jesus said in John 3:3 "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom
of God."

Those who are born again have their names written in the Book of Life and will be counted worthy to inherit the
kingdom of God.

What about those who don't have their names written in the Book of Life?

Revelation 22:15 "And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."

How can you be certain that your name is written in the Book of Life?

You must examine yourself.

Paul said in 2 Corinthians 13:5 "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do
you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified."

Paul is telling you to examine your life to see if Jesus lives inside of you. How? By comparing the Word of God
to your life. Look at what the bible says about a Christian and determine whether of not you are saved.

Test 1 - Living in righteousness

1 John 1:6 “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.”

1 John 2:3-5 “Now by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who
says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.”

2 John 9 “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who
abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.”

Romans 6:6-7 “Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away
with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.”

Test 2 - Friendship with the world

James said in
James 4:4, “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever
therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”

1 John 2:15-16 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the
Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—
is not of the Father but is of the world.”

Test 3 - The love of God

Jesus said in John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

1 John 4:7-8 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and
knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

I pray you have made a decision to examine yourself and determine whether or not Christ lives inside of you.
This is something that you can't afford to be wrong about

Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment."

Millions of people are walking down the broad way to hell. Don't follow after their footsteps. Jesus said few shall
enter heaven. I love you and just want to make sure you're one of them.
